Origin of ScR

At the origin of scale relativity stands a comparison between the status and structure of the two fundamental theories that are Einstein's General Relativity (GR) and Quantum Mechanics (QM). GR seems to be more fundamental (it is a theory of the referenceframe itself, not only of the objects described in this frame), better founded (on a prime principle, the relativity of motion) and thus more complete than QM (that is an axiomatic theory). Such a comparison leads to try to understand QM from the concepts of GR (but not necessarily with its methods) and not the opposite.

In such a frame of thought, a first interrogation arises: what is, CONCEPTUALLY, missing to QM with respect to GR ? The answer is: SPACE-TIME...
