High order methods for non linear PDE

I will present some basics on two classes of high order methods : spectral and reduced basis techniques. I will particularly focus on the difficulty raised by the presence of nonlinearities in the equations to be solved. I will present the definition of the proper discrete equations, their approximation properties, and the complexity involved without speaking of the appropriate iterative solvers that are required.
