From pulsar observations to tests of general relativity

In this talk, I will describe a recent pulsar survey with the Nancay Radio Telescope with the goal of adding new millisecond pulsars to the Pulsar Timing Arrays (PTAs) to accelerate the detection of the low-frequency gravitational wave background. I will also present some new results on the precessing double neutron star system PSR J1906+0746. These observations allowed to probe the emission beam of a radio pulsar and place the best constraint on the relativistic spin-precession rate for strongly self-gravitating bodies. Finally, I will present some ongoing work on pulsar searches around Sgr A* as part of the Event Horizon Telescope collaboration.
